Kids & Teens Jiu-Jitsu

Jiu-jitsu is a fun and exciting martial art that will help kids and teens develop important skills like coordination, strength, and focus. During our classes, our students will learn new techniques and improve their existing ones.

Also, jiu-jitsu is not just about physical training. Our students will also learn important values like respect, discipline, and sportsmanship while having a great time with their classmates.

Class Structure At Figueroa Jiu-Jitsu

This is how a typical Jiu-Jitsu class looks at our school:

  1. Warm-up exercises: We will start each class with some warm-up exercises to get your body ready for training. This will include stretching, jogging, and other activities to help you build endurance and flexibility.

  2. Technique training: Next, we will focus on learning and practicing new jiu-jitsu techniques. Our instructors will show you step-by-step how to perform each move, and you'll have plenty of opportunities to practice with your classmates.

  3. Drills: We will also do drills to help you improve your techniques even further. These exercises focus on specific movements or sequences and will help you get comfortable with the techniques you're learning.

  4. Sparring: Finally, we will end each class with some sparring. This is a chance for you to use your techniques in a live setting with a partner. Don't worry; our instructors will ensure everyone is safe and having fun!
